Metal Database
The Metal Database is a fundamental research component of the FBRI. The experts of the FBRI have been following up with this subject for more than 10 years, and the data is used to support and consummate their findings. The importance of the ongoing expansion of the Metal Database is clear, as it is often the decisive element in difficult identification cases. With the support of X-ray fluorescence (XRF) spectroscopy the exact composition of previously unidentified metals can be registered, analyzed, and catalogued.
