Model-Based Reasoning

Model-Based Reasoning is the assessment and full categorization of the model development of each maker in order to truly and more completely understand, date and accurately identify different bows according to their respective levels of abstraction. Its aim is to identify the individual characteristics of formally undisputed and common bow models, and then to place these examples in context with that maker’s less familiar bow models. The result is an increased accuracy of attribution that now correctly labels previously misattributed bows. Musicians, dealers, and investors alike rely on this high level of expertise as their primary source for bow evaluation and appreciation.
